Position: Compliance Officer

Position Objective: 

  • Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Officer to join our Compliance and Governance team. The ideal candidate will ensure that our Company adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements, manages correspondent agreements, and oversees governance and legal aspects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations during the onboarding of correspondent agreements/contracts.
  • Manage communications with correspondent banks and money transfer operators.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures
  • Assist in regulatory audits and compliance monitoring programs.
  • Provide detailed reports to Compliance Manager on compliance activities.
  • Perform site visits for departments and branches to ensure compliance procedures are implemented and executed.
  • Draft and revise the Company’s policies when required.
  • Ensure that the Company’s operations and processes are adherent to the laws and internal policies, identify compliance risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation when needed.
  • Address employees concerns and questions and provide advices on legal compliance.
  • Educate and train employees on regulations and sound practices and promote for integrity and professional ethics in workplace.

 

What We’re Looking for:

  • Education: Degree in Finance, Business, or Law.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a financial institution/ legal background is valued.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of QCB regulations, AML/CFT laws, FATF guidelines and any other related regulation.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Details-oriented with the ability to handle tasks with minimal supervision accurately and efficiently. Arabic proficiency and strong English skills are both required. Proficiency in MS Office.

 

Remittance and foreign Currencies Cashiers:

 

Position Objective: 

  • Ensure accurate and complete processing of remittance transactions and currency exchanges, responsible for the safekeeping of foreign currencies and maintain good relations with the customers, be aware of several remittance products and services that the Company offers and maintain a good relations with the customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • processing any transactions and assess the genuineness of documents presented. Where there is doubt about the identification of the customer or a complete customer due diligence is not satisfied, advise the supervisor and assess the need to prepare internal STR.
  • Ensure that all funds received and released pass-through money counting machine to verify accuracy and detect counterfeit currencies.
  • Balance foreign currency, and cash collection at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of cash transfers to other cashiers and Branch Supervisors.
  • Ensure encoding of correct customer data, and transaction details.

Education & Qualification:

  • Minimum of high school graduate.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Suitable number of experience in exchange business, possessing knowledge of different money transfer products.

Skills:

  • Individual who possess high integrity, honesty, and sincerity.
  • Good knowledge of mathematics.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas well to others, i.e., customers, and colleagues.
  • Quick to learn automated tools and business application systems
